Welcome to the Saint Mark’s Women’s Group. We invite you to join us for some service, fellowship and fun! As we grow our catholic community, it is our mission not only to help enhance your spiritual journey, but also provide opportunities to share your God-given talents and nurture our relationships to build up the body of Christ. We welcome you to join any of the opportunities we currently offer to serve our neighbors or enhance your spirituality. Walking with Purpose:

Small Group Bible Study

Walking with Purpose is a Catholic Bible study program that aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This program offers personal study and small group discussions that link everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teaching of Christ and the Catholic Church. Different topics are covered in 6-week sessions.

Monthly Spiritual Reading Group:

Lunch Bunch

The Lunch Bunch meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Meet up at 12:00 noon at Cimarrone Golf Club, 2800 Cimarrone Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32259. This is an opportunity to enjoy a nice lunch, grow friendships while discussing various spiritual books. The first one being discussed is Rediscover the Saints by Matthew Kelly. Prayer Blanket Ministry

The goal of the Prayer Blanket Ministry is to create lap blankets lovingly and prayerfully for people suffering physical, spiritual, or emotional pains. They can be sewn, knotted, quilted, or “no-sew” fleece. Blankets will be available to parishioners and their loved ones who are ill, in distress or otherwise in need of our prayers. If you would like to volunteer or know someone in need of a blanket and our prayers, please contact Anita Veino anita.veino@gmail.com.

Service to Others

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

Since it is through service to others that we serve God, the Women’s Group will offer various opportunities to help those in need. Current opportunities include:

Patriot Oaks Academy has approved St Mark as an official faith-based partner. To participate in the volunteer opportunities, the school district requires your registration at

Florida School of the Deaf and Blind (FSDB) serves 1,000 students Pre-K to age 22 of which 80 per cent are economically disadvantaged. It is our mission to build a strong brotherhood here at Saint Mark the Evangelist. We are a body of believers and sometimes that simply means we should gather and have fun together. As our Women’s Group continues to grow, we will offer various activities that will support developing friendships with each other. Watch the bulletin for details.
